“Toller” rained out; rescheduled.
Civil War battle at MRP March 15.
By Bob Burbach
Marysville CA - February 28, 2014 --- “The annual running of the Sherm Toller Memorial Race has been postponed by heavy rains over the speedway. The three day accumulation of water has KO’d any possibility of getting the race in.

If there’s any good news about this situation it is the fact that the prestigious event will be run. The $2500 to win classic will be rescheduled for Saturday night October 4th.

The next event scheduled at Marysville Raceway Park is round 1 of the California Sprint Car Civil War Series presented by Flowmaster on Saturday March 15th. The expanded series and its Triple Crown format will kick off at MRP. The 30-lap featured event will pay $2000 to win.

A mountain of talent is expected. 38 of the western region’s finest 360 winged sprint car superstars tested the Marysville clay the last time the California Sprint Car Civil War Series came to town. With the Triple Crown format in place for this event look for some nationally ranked superstars from the 410 ranks to throw their hats into the ring as well. More on that later; stay tuned. We will see you then.
