Hirst, Lovell and Dozier throw their hats in the ring KWS stop at MRP picks up more stars and momentum By Bob Burbach Marysville CA - April 17, 2012 --- Paul and Kathy Hawes’ Marysville Raceway Park, the Yuba-Sutter area’s only professional sports venue, will continue its 44th consecutive professional racing season with a big, big show Saturday night. The top guns in 410 winged sprint car racing on the west coast will be making their annual stop at MRP. The National ASCS Rookie of the year and the most recent winner of MRP’s prestigious Sherm Toller Memorial Race and the 2011 Mel Hall Memorial Race at MRP, Kyle Hirst has added his name to the entry list.  In addition, MRP’s own 5-time Performance Auto Supply Winged Sprint Car Series Champion Korey Lovell will bring his famous Yuba City Scrap and Steel, Korey Lovell Racing #71 to do battle with the state’s top 410 sprint car drivers. Another local star and champion Cort Dozier will be in the house. Dozier was the 2009 MRP Wingless Sprint Car Champion, but he also finished 3rd in points in his winged car the very same year in a remarkable year long performance. Coming out of retirement this season, Dozier says he will challenge for MRP’s Performance Auto Supply Winged Sprint Car Series title. Already entered Saturday is defending series champion Tim Kaeding in the famous Roth #83. The Roth 83 has found its way to the victory platform at the Knoxville Nationals. Two-time KWS titlist Jonathan Allard will be at MRP. 50 time MRP feature event winner and 3 time champion at MRP, Colby Wiesz will try to grab a victory away from the touring pros. He will team up with owner Jim Richardson in the 410 Black Star #8.  Also in the house will be former KWS champ Jason Statler, former MRP Civil War main event winner Andy Gregg, former KWS Speedweek champion Bobby McMahan, young star Rico Abreu and Australian native Peter Murphy. Also adding his name to the list is John Michael Bunch who has shown himself to be a formidable threat at MRP. This event is really beginning to kick up its heels! Wicked fast 410s, spectacular stars, famous racecars and now real MRP Stars vs KWS Stars implications! Get here early!
