Open practice on Monday at MRP. Final 2010 race Oct. 9th By Bob
Marysville CA -
2010 --- Marysville Raceway Park will have an open practice session for all classes of racecars on Monday October 4th. The track will be open at 5PM. There is no pit pass fee for participants or their crews. The grandstands will also be free for fans who would care to check out the action. Several championship contenders will be there testing their cars for October 9th. Everyone is invited to come by, share some stories and turn a few "laps in anger" around the MRP banked clay.
This will be the final practice session prior to MRP’s final point race scheduled for Saturday night October 9th. The 5 primary divisions will be featured with 100 laps of feature event action scheduled. The race will showcase the MRP Winged Sprinters, the Performance Auto Supply Wingless Warrior Sprint Car Series, the MRP Super Stocks, the MRP Mini Stocks and the Pro 4 Sprint Cars.
Two of the 5 primary classes at MRP still need to decide their champions. Korey Lovell is the MRP Winged Sprint Car Champion. Misty Castleberry is the MRP Mini Stock Champion. P J Petersen has clinched the title in the Pro 4 Sprint Car Series. A single point separates Jeff Olschowka from his closest rival Corey Hall in the thrilling MRP Super Stock Car class. 11 points separate point leader Terry Schank and Taylor Simas in the Performance Auto Supply Wingless Warrior Sprint Car Series. There are a number of standing changes possible in the final race including close races for Rookie of the Year in both of the fendered divisions.
