MRP suspends operations after crash. By Bob Burbach Marysville CA - August 16, 2010 --- Beginning Saturday night August 21 Marysville Raceway Park will suspend operations for the time being. The death of driver Merle Shepherd Saturday night has saddened MRP’s close-knit racing family. It was the first fatality in 42 years of continued operation.   Jeff Olschowka won the MRP Mini Stock and Super Stock features. Reyna Krueger won the MRP Winged Sprint Car main event and P. J.
