Marysville CA - July 19,
2007 ---
This
Saturday night the final race of the evening will feature
the Extreme Bombers in a “SLAM-BANG” FIGURE 8 RACE.
Promoter
Paul Hawes will reshape the infield and have the class of
stock cars race a dramatic course of left and right turns
that will include an intersection that the racers must
negotiate in order to complete the lap. Other cars will
approach the intersection from the other direction
creating breath-taking possibilities. It has been decades
since a FIGURE 8 RACE was staged in northern California.
The Extreme Bombers, this year have had to hit one another
to win, they have gone the opposite way on the track, but
this could be the toughest assignment yet. A significant
increase in the car count is expected for the Extreme
Bombers race this week. As interest in the class continues
to grow more figure 8 races may be scheduled.
The
mighty Wingless Warriors of the Wingless Sprint Car Series
will bring their open wheel brand of excitement to
headline Saturday’s ambitious program.
The
KKCY Country 103 Cup Stock Cars and Mini Stocks will bang
fenders and do battle in the quest for the KKCY Country
103 Cup.
The
front gates of Marysville Raceway Park will open at 5 PM,
racing starts at 7 PM.
